International words in teaching foreigners

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Internacionalismy ve výuce cizinců se zabývá internacionalismy řeckého původu a problematikou zrádných slov. Závěrečná práce se nejprve věnuje obecné charakteristice internacionálních slov, poté se zaměřuje na to, jak se s mezinárodními slovy pracuje v učebnicích českého jazyka jako jazyka cizího. Diplomová práce čtenáře seznámí s Českou školičkou v Soluni, na které vznikla v rámci zahraniční stáže praktická část našeho výzkumu. Vybrali jsme z různých oblastí celkem 40 internacionálních slov původem z řečtiny a zkoumali jsme jejich gramatické kategorie. Některé z vybraných internacionalismů jsme do českého jazyka přejali s odlišnými gramatickými kategoriemi, takže jsme se domnívali, že řecky mluvícím studentům českého jazyka budou tato slova při osvojování činit větší potíže než ta mezinárodní slova, která se v gramatických kategoriích shodují. Tuto domněnku jsme se rozhodli ověřit dotazníkovým šetřením. Dotazníky byly zadány žákům/studentům České školičky v Soluni. V souladu s výsledky výzkumu jsme dotazníky upravili a vytvořili sadu pracovních listů, prostřednictvím kterých si mohou žáci České školičky více procvičit problematiku internacionálních a zrádných slov.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis, which is called Internationalism in Education of Foreign Languages, deals with internationalisms of Greek origin and issues of tricky words. The thesis firstly describes general characteristics of international words, then focuses on the way how books of Czech language (as a foreign language) work with international words. The diploma thesis acquaints readers with the Czech school in Salonica in which was during internship created a practical part of the thesis. We chose 40 international words from different areas with Greek origin and researched their grammatical categories. We adopted some of the chosen internationalisms with different grammatical categories, so we supposed that to Greek speaking students of Czech language will make these words bigger difficulties than the international ones, which correspond in grammatical categories. We decided to verify this assumption in questionnaire. The questionnaires were handed out to pupils/students in Czech school in Salonica. We adjusted the questionnaires to correspond with the results of research and created the set of worksheets through which pupils of Czech school can practise more issues of international and tricky words.
