Bakteriální biofilmy jsou přisedlé kolonie bakterií, lišící se od planktonicky žijících buněk zvýšenou rezistencí vůči vnějším faktorům. Biofilmy mohou být tvořeny patogenními bakteriemi, které bývají příčinou kontaminací v potravinářském průmyslu, medicíně a dalších oborech. Bacterial biofilms are sessile colonies which are different from planktonic cells by increased resistance to external factors.
