Financial Technology and its Impact on Consumer Behaviour

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá finančními technologiemi a jejich vlivem na spotřebitele. Poukazuje na problematiku definice pojmu FinTech a přibližuje čtenáři, co vlastně finanční technologie jsou, co do nich patří a jaké jsou současné trendy v tomto oboru. Součástí práce je i historický přehled vývoje finančních technologií od konce 19. století až po současnost. Práce stručně zmiňuje regulaci FinTech odvětví v EU a ve světě. Poslední část je věnována analýze chování spotřebitelů ve vztahu k bankovním službám a finančním technologiím.

Abstract:

The main topic of this thesis is financial technology and its impact on consumer behaviour. It points out the issue with the correct definition of the term FinTech and explains to the reader what financial technology is, what products and services can be identified as such and what the current trends in this field are. This thesis also contains a historical overview of the development of financial technology from the end of the 19th century to the present. The regulation of the FinTech industry in the EU and in the world is also briefly mentioned. The last part is devoted to the analysis of consumer behaviour in relation to banking services and financial technology.
