Domain Strážnice in the 17th century - war conflicts and defense of inhabitants

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá válečnými konflikty na území panství Strážnice na jihovýchodní Moravě, a to s vymezením období pro 17. století s vhodným přesahem do roku 1709 a s tematickým zaměřením na způsoby a možnosti ochrany obyvatelstva. V možném rozsahu práce je zpracována charakteristika strážnického panství, předpoklady k ochraně panství v závislosti na vlastníku dominia a jednotlivé prvky obrany od hmotné fortifikace přes církevní stavby k možné duchovní ochraně. Samostatně jsou zpracovány jednotlivé válečné události, které panství zasáhly, včetně souvislostí např. politických nebo náboženských. Práce si klade za cíl zpracovat souhrnně dané téma na základě literatury a tištěných i archivních pramenů a v závěru shrnout důsledky, které mělo dané období pro obyvatele panství případně až do současnosti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with war conflicts on the territory of Strážnice domain in southeast Moravia, namely with the definition of time period in 17th century, with the suitable overlap in 1709 and the thematic focus on ways and possibilities of the protection of population. The scope of work describes characteristics of the Strážnice domain, conditions for its protection depending on the owner of the domain and individual elements of the defense from the physical massive fortification across the church buildings, as possible sanctuary asylum. Separately are described all war conflicts, which affected the domain, including related context, for example political or religious. The work aims to comprehensively process the topic, using literature and published archival sources and finally summarize the consequences of the given period for the inhabitants of the domain until the present time.
