Educational strategies of foster parent relatives

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem výchovných strategií příbuzenských pěstounů. Z hlediska příbuzenské pěstounské péče je téma stále aktuální, jelikož jsou příbuzní nejpočetnější skupinou náhradních rodičů a z oblasti jejich výchovy je to téma relativně netradiční. A tak je cílem této práce charakterizovat specifika ve výchově příbuzenských pěstounů. Práce je rozdělená na část teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část je koncipovaná do 3 hlavních kapitol. Ty se zabývají pěstounskou péči, potřebami dětí v náhradní rodinné péči a potřebami náhradních rodičů. Poslední teoretická kapitola se zabývá výchovou, která je zacílena na výchovu příbuzných (sourozenců, tet, strýců a prarodičů). Další část práce je již praktická a obsahuje metodologii výzkumného šetření, které bylo uskutečněno formou kvalitativní výzkumné strategie prostřednictvím polostrukturovaného rozhovoru s desíti respondenty. Popisuje nejen teoretická východiska výzkumu, ale samozřejmě jeho cíl, výzkumný problém, výzkumné otázky a také limity uskutečněného šetření. Velká část je nadále věnována analýze a zejména interpretaci dat společně s výsledky. Cílem výzkumného šetření je analyzovat, jestli a jak se specifická životní situace promítá do současných výchovných strategií příbuzenských pěstounů.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis topic is the educational strategies of family foster parents. Relatives are the largest group of foster parents, and therefore the topic is still relevant in terms of foster care and is a relatively unconventional in the area of their upbringing. Therefore, the aim of this work is to characterize the specifics in the education of relatives foster parents. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is conceived into 3 main chapters dealing with foster care, the needs of children in foster care and the needs of foster parents. The last theoretical chapter is about education with a focus on the education of relatives (siblings, aunts, uncles and grandparents). The following part of the thesis is practical and contains the methodology of the research, which was carried out in the form of a qualitative research strategy through a semi-structured interview with ten respondents. Not only the theoretical background of the research is described but of course its aim, the research problem, the research questions and also the limits of the realized research. A large part is devoted to the analysis and especially the interpretation of data together with the results. The aim of the research is to analyze whether and how the specific life situation translates into current educational strategies of relatives foster parents.
