Changes in School-Leaving Exam on Mathematics in years 2010-2011

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je sjednotit poznatky o maturitě z matematiky do roku 2010 a státní maturitě s důrazem na matematiku, která proběhla v roce 2011. Dále zjistit a porovnat názory učitelů matematiky středních škol a studentů matematiky vysoké školy na zavedení státní maturity. V neposlední řadě porovnat a zhodnotit požadavky na studenty k maturitě u vybraných středních škol v Opavě, hodinovou dotaci v matematice, úspěšnost studentů u státní maturity z matematiky a další. Práce je rozdělena do sedmi kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá úvodem do problematiky maturit; uvedeme si rozdělení středních škol a krátkou historii školství, která se zaměřuje hlavně na změny a novely ve školském zákoně. Druhá kapitola je věnována popisu maturit do roku 2010 se zaměřením na zkoušku z matematiky s vhodně zvolenými typovými příklady. Třetí kapitola obsahuje všeobecné informace o státní maturitě a státní maturitě z matematiky. Jednotlivé části jsou opět provázány typovými příklady jak ze základní, tak z vyšší úrovně. Následují tři kapitoly se zabývají průzkumem. První z nich se týká informací poskytnutých z vybraných středních škol v Opavě. Druhý, který je proveden formou sondáže obsahuje informace týkající se názorů středoškolských učitelů matematiky na státní maturitu. Konečně třetí průzkum je jakýsi doplněním druhého, který je uskutečněn v řadách vysokoškolských studentů matematiky. Nechybí zde také srovnání dvou výše uvedených průzkumů. V poslední kapitole je pro zajímavost uvedena stručná historie maturitní zkoušky na gymnáziích.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to unify the findings about the general secondary education examination (GSEE) in mathematics until 2010 and the national general secondary education examination (NGSEE) emphasizing the exam in mathematics which took place in 2011, to find out and compare opinions of secondary school maths teachers as well as university students of mathematics on the introduction of the NGSEE, and, finally, compare and evaluate demands on students in selected secondary schools in Opava, number of maths lessons, success of students in the NGSEE in mathematics, etc. The thesis is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the introduction to problems of GSEE; there is a classification of secondary schools and a short history of the school system focusing mainly on changes and amendments to the Education Act. The second chapter describes GSEE until 2010 focusing on the examination in mathematics together with appropriately chosen type examples. The third chapter includes general information about the NGSEE and the NGSEE in mathematics. Particular parts are again interconnected with type examples of basic as well as advanced levels. The following three chapters focus on research: the first one deals with the information provided by selected secondary schools in Opava; the second research, which was carried out as a probe , includes information concerning opinions of secondary school maths teachers on the NGSEE. Finally, the third research is a kind of complement to the second one; it was carried out among university students of mathematics. There is also a comparison of the two above mentioned researches. As a matter of interest, a brief history of the GSEE at grammar schools is mentioned in the last chapter.
