Simulation of the Turbogenerator during the Switching into Island Operation

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou přechodu parních elektrárenských bloků do os-trovního provozu (OP). Zmíněné bloky pracují na principu přeměny tepla na elektřinu pomocí turbogenerátorů využívajících jako tepelný motor parní turbínu. Udržení požadovaného výkonu na svorkách generátoru je základním úkolem těchto systémů, protože se podílejí na pokrytí požadované hodnoty spotřeby elektřiny v elektrizační síti, která musí být zajištěna s kvalitativními parametry. Ve střídavé elektrizační síti jsou těmito parametry napětí a frekvence, jejichž změna oproti jmenovitým hodnotám indikuje narušení výkonové rovnováhy v síti. Pro zabránění překročení jejich mezních hodnot je nutno provádět v síti výkonová opatření. Tato opatření jsou specifikována frekvenčním plánem, který stanovuje, jaké opatření se přijímá na jednotlivých hodnotách. Při překročení mezní hodnoty frekvence přecházejí turbogenerátory do OP tak, aby po odstranění výkonové nerovnováhy v síti mohly být v co nejkratší době opět schopny pokrývat spotřebu. Udržení turbogenerátoru v provozu na nízkých výkonových hladinách je tedy důležitou úlohou. Práce řeší problematiku a způsoby regulace páry vstupující do turbíny, čímž se udržuje výkonová bilance turbosoustrojí. Dynamika tohoto procesu je především určena schopnostmi mechanických prvků zajišťujících změnu výkonu, což jsou regu-lační ventilová zařízení umožňující změnu hmotnostních toků páry procházejících přes turbínu. Regulace je vyšetřována na základě sestaveného modelu turbíny v programu Matlab Simuling. Tento model je aplikován na reálný případ turbosoustrojí. Klíčovým prvkem pro dynamické snížení výkonu v tomto modelu je záchytný ventil (ZV), jehož dynamické schopnosti při zavírání limitují přechod turbosoustrojí do OP. Další část práce se zaobírá vysokotlakou hydraulickou (VTH) regulací a následně vytvořením modelu tohoto typu regulace jako regulace skupinové. Tento model je aplikován v modelu turbogenerátoru zapojeného do elektrizační sítě, následně je tento turbogenerátor přepnut do OP. Výstupní dynamické charakteristiky turbogenerátoru zobrazující přechod do OP jsou verifikovány na reálných parametrech. Pro další fázi výzkumu je pro vyšetřovaný turbogenerátor se stejnými parametry vytvořen model nízkotlaké hydraulické (NTH) regulace. Tento turbogenerátor je přepnut za stejných podmínek jako při VTH regulaci do OP tak, aby bylo možné porovnat rozdíly v jednotlivých typech těchto vyšetřovaných regulací při přechodu na vlastní spotřebu bloku. V závěrečné části práce jsou vyhodnoceny získané výstupy z VTH a NTH regulace z hlediska dynamiky přechodu do OP. Dále jsou stanovena kritéria a hodnotící parametry pro přechod bloku na vlastní spotřebu, jenž je nejmenším OP. Tento přechod je při provozu bloku nejvíce dynamicky náročný na regulaci, a proto tedy nejlépe prověří regulační vlastnosti turbogenerátoru

Abstract:

This thesis deals with problems which occur when steam electrical units switch into the island operation. These units operate on basic of transformation of thermal to electrical energy. This transformation is insured with turbogenerators which use the turbine as a thermal motor. Keeping of required power on generator terminals is basic aim of these systems, because they contribute with their power to insure required electric consumption in the electric grid. Power has to be ensured with the required qualitative parameters. In the alternating power grid the parameters are voltage and frequency. Their change from the nominal values indicates disturbance of power balance in the grid. To prevent of exceeding these limit values power action in the grid has to be executed. This action is specified in Frequency Plan. There is mentioned which action is made on particular values. When the frequency exceeds its nominal value, the turbogenerators are switched into the island operation. It is made for purpose to synchronize them back to the grid when the power balance is restored there. To keep the turbogenerators in operation on low power levels therefore, important function is. The theses deals with problems and ways of steam turbine control incoming in turbine, whereby the power turbogenerator balance is kept. The dynamic of this process is mainly identified from mechanical elements possibility, which insure power change. They are control valve equipment for change of steam mass flow through the turbine. The control is examined on base of created model in program Matlab Simulink. This model is applied to a real turbogenerator. The intercept valve is the key element for dynamic decreasing of power in this model. Its dynamic behavior during closing limits the turbogenerator switching into the island operation. The next part of theses solves high pressure hydraulic (HPH) control and then creation of this model as group control. This model is applied on model of turbogenerator connected to the electric grid. Then, the turbogenerator is switched into the island operation. Dynamic output diagrams of the turbogenerator which represent switching into the island operation are verified with the real parameters. For the next phase of research the model with low pressure hydraulic (LPH) for the turbogenerator with the same parameters is created. This turbogenerator is switched into the island operation in the same conditions as with the HPH control for possibility to compare both examined controls during the switching into the island operation. In the last part of theses the obtained outputs from HPH and LPH control are evaluated from standpoint of dynamic switching into the island operation. Further, criteria and evaluative parameters for unit switching in its self-consumption, which is the smallest island, are determined. This switching is during unit operation the most difficult for control. Therefore, it is the best way how to check the control ability of the turbogenerator.
