Práce se zabývá problematikou užití výrazu some v angličtině. Jeho správné použití bývá pro nerodilé mluvčí problematické, což často vede k chybám v mluveném i psaném projevu. Cílem práce je nastínit tendence užití výrazu some v angličtině a určit jeho funkční ekvivalenty v češtině.
