Accounting and Taxes of Foreign Registered Branch

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou podnikání osob v zahraničí prostřednictvím odštěpného závodu. Podává informace o vlastnostech odštěpného závodu a účetních a daňových specifikách, která mohou při volbě tohoto způsobu podnikání u společnosti nastat. Práce objasňuje zdaňování příjmů zřizovatele dosažených prostřednictvím odštěpného závodu a vymezuje vnitropodniková plnění mezi zřizovatelem a odštěpným závodem z titulu daně z přidané hodnoty. Cílem práce je navrhnout úpravy nastavení současného vnitropodnikového účetnictví podniku tak, aby bylo možné vymezit účetnictví odštěpného závodu v rámci celku. V praktické části jsou aplikovány teoretické poznatky a je provedena analýza nastavení vnitropodnikového účetnictví české společnosti podnikající v zahraničí prostřednictvím odštěpného závodu. Na základě analýzy jsou navržena možná řešení vedoucí ke zvýšení efektivity a přesnosti při vymezování účetnictví pouze za odštěpný závod.

Abstract:

The thesis addresses the issue of conducting the entrepreneurship abroad through the registered branch. It provides information on the characteristics of a registered branch and the accounting and tax specifics that may arise when a company decides on this type of enterprise. The thesis clarifies the taxation of the founder's income earned through the branch and defines the intercompany transactions between the founder and the branch for value added tax purposes. The aim of the thesis is to propose adjustments to the current internal accounting system of the company in order to define the accounting of the branch within the accounting of the whole entity. In the practical application, the theoretical knowledge is presented and the analysis of the internal accounting of a Czech company performing activities abroad through the registered branch is carried out. Based on the analysis, possible solutions are proposed to increase the efficiency and accuracy in the determination of the accounting of the Czech company’s registered branch.
