Practical application of a general distribution problem

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je praktická aplikace obecného distribučního problému, jako úlohy lineárního programování, a zároveň optimalizace výrobní fáze ringování (tj. nasazení gumového kroužku na zátku, aby bylo hrdlo láhve správně utěsněno) skleněných zátek do lahví. Data k této bakalářské práci byla poskytnuta reálnou společností, která se výrobou skleněných zátek zabývá. Skleněné zátky je potřeba tzv. oringovat na strojích. V současné době firma disponuje třemi ringovacími stroji různého typu. Jednotlivé ringovací stroje se liší náklady lidské a strojní práce na oringování zátek a časem výroby. Cílem této práce je stanovit optimální pokrytí měsíční zákaznické potřeby, tj. zpracování plánovaných zakázek za co nejnižších nákladů. Celý model je řešen v softwaru LINGO a samotná aplikace je implementována v prostředí MS Excel.

Abstract:

The topic of the bachelor's thesis is the practical application of a general distribution problem, as a linear programming problem, and at the same time the optimization of the production phase of ringing (i.e., putting a rubber ring on the stopper so that the neck of the bottle is properly sealed) of glass bottle stoppers. The data for this bachelor's thesis was provided by a real company that produces glass stoppers. Glass stoppers need to be ringed on machines. Currently, the company has three ringing machines of different types that are already in production. Individual ringing machines differ in terms of human and machine labor costs for ringing plugs and production time. The aim of this work is to determine the optimal coverage of the monthly customer needs, i.e., the processing of planned orders at the lowest possible costs. The entire model is solved in the LINGO software, and the application itself is implemented in the MS Excel environment.
