The comparison between perceptions of principles of freedom at work in Germany and in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je na základě dotazníkového šetření provést komparaci vnímání principů svobody v práci u občanů Německa a České republiky. Výsledky tohoto šetření jsou dále komparovány na základě generačních rozdílů a také různé úrovně vzdělání respondentů. Jako teoretický základ je v první části diplomové práce popsána daná problematika svobody v práci a svobodomyslných firem. Je zde porovnávána společnost svobodná se společností hierarchickou, dále jsou definovány principy svobody v práci a popsána historie a vývoj celého konceptu. V teoretické části jsou definovány a následně porovnány generace X a Y. Na závěr jsou vyhodnoceny pomocí statistického testu s názvem chí-kvadrát test nezávislosti v kombinační tabulce tři hypotézy, které jsou definovány již před samotným online dotazníkovým šetřením. Veškeré informace a data jsou využitelná pro společnosti jak v Čechách, tak v Německu, zejména v oblasti motivace zaměstnanců.

Abstract:

The goal of this Master´s thesis is to make a comparison between perceptions of principles of freedom at work in Germany and in the Czech Republic with the aid of questionnaire survey. The results of this research are then compared on the basis of generation differences and different level of respondents´ education. As a theoretical base, the first part of this thesis is dedicated to the description of the term freedom at work and open-minded companies. Moreover, there is a comparison between open-minded company and hierarchical company, there are defined principles of freedom at work and described the history and development of the whole concept. As a part of theory, there are also defined and afterwards compared the generations X and Y. At the end of this thesis, three hypothesis which are defined before the questionnaire survey is made are tested with Pearson´s chi-squared test of independence in combinational table. All information and data are useful for the companies operated in the Czech Republic and Germany mainly in the area of employees´ motivation.
