Knowledge in Europeanism of Czech students after joining European Union

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na evropskou dimenzi ve výuce dějepisu, občanské výchovy a základů společenských věd. Teoretická část se zabývá analýzou učebnic dějepisu, občanské výchovy a základů společenských věd, určených pro ZŠ a nižší ročníky víceletých gymnázií, SŠ a SOŠ, ve vztahu k integračním procesům a EU. Empirická část sestává z interpretace výzkumu, zjišťujícího postoje a názory žáků ZŠ, studentů gymnázií a SOŠ k procesům integrace a k evropanství, včetně vědomostí o prvních integračních krocích a EU. Výzkum byl realizován od dubna do června 2011 na vzorku 455 respondentů. Šetření se uskutečnilo formou dotazníku. Účastnili se ho žáci devátých tříd ZŠ, studenti třetích ročníků čtyřletých gymnázií nebo odpovídajícího ročníku víceletých gymnázií a studenti SOŠ.

Abstract:

Diploma´s work focuses on the European dimension in teaching history and civics. The theoretical part is dedicated to the analysis of textbooks of history and civics, designed for primary schools and lower grades of secondary, grammar schools and secondary vocational schools in relation to integration processes and the EU. The practical part is consisted of interpretation of research in order to identify attitudes and opinions of primary school students, high school and secondary vocational school students to the processes of integration and European citizenship including awareness of the first steps of integration and the EU. The research was performed from April to June 2011 with a sample of 455 of a responding students. Investigation was carried out by using of a questionnaire. Participants of the questionnaire were the students of ninth classes of primary schools, third classes of four ? year high schools or equivalent classes of eight ? year high schools and students of a secondary vocational schools.
