Motivation and stimulation of employees in a corporation

Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci se věnuji otázce motivace a stimulace zaměstnanců, respektive jejich spokojenosti při výkonu práce. Na základě studia teoretických poznatků o tomto tématu jsem provedla empirické šetření ve vybraném podniku formou anonymního dotazníku a provedla jeho vyhodnocení. Celá práce se skládá ze dvou hlavních částí, teoretické části a praktické části, kde každá z těchto částí má svůj vlastní cíl zaštítěný cílem celé diplomové práce. V teoretické části jsem se soustředila na charakteristiku základních pojmů a teorií, které mi posloužily jako zdroj informací a znalostí pro zpracování praktické části. Ta je věnována zejména popisu vybraného podniku, přístupu k empirickému šetření a jeho vlastnímu vyhodnocení a doporučení pro zlepšení. V závěru vyhodnocuji stanovené cíle, jejich naplnění či nenaplnění a důvody proč stanovených cílů nemohlo být dosaženo společně s doporučeními vybranému podniku.

Abstract:

In my thesis, I focus on the problem of motivaton and incentivisation of employees, with an overlay to the field of their job satisfaction. Based on the study of available theoretical background I implemented an empirical inquiry in a pre-selected company. This study has been in the form of an anonymous questionnaire, with the statistical output processed and evaluated by myself. The whole thesis consists of two parts - the theoretical as well as the practical part. Each and every section has its own objective, the whole thesis is wrapped by its general objective. The theoretical part focuses on defining major terms and theories which have been the source of information for the practical part. The second part describes the selected company, the chosen approach to the empirical study as well as the research evaluation and suggestions for improvement. The concluding section revolves about objectives evaluation, discussing whether they have been fulfilled or not and outlining reasons, why such an outcome ocurred. The very final part contains tangible recommendations for the company, based on the research findings.
