Cieľom tejto práce je skúmanie využitia poznatkov odboru Leadership Studies v medzinárodnej politickej ekonómii. Hlavnou hypotézou práce je, že "poznatky Leadership Studies možno úspešne použiť v medzinárodnej politickej ekonómii na formovanie stratégii pre presadenie leadership krajiny v určitej oblasti svetovej ekonomiky".
