Cílem práce je zhodnotit stav plnění cílů tisíciletí, jež se Organizace spojených národů zavázala splnit do roku 2015. Tyto cíle se dotýkají největších problémů spojených s rozvojovými regiony, které zahrnují chudobu, zdraví obyvatelstva, ochranu životního prostředí a v neposlední řadě také globální ekonomickou spolupráci. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the status of compliance with the MDGs, which the United Nations committed itself to meet by 2015.
