Cílem této práce je určit úroveň jak jazykové, tak i kulturní vitality Inuitů. Úvodní kapitola se zabývá popisem základních informací o Inuitské společnosti, její historii a tradicích. Druhá a třetí kapitola prezentují samotný výzkum a jeho výsledky na základě aplikace dvou odlišných metodologií- jedna pro analýzu jazykové vitality, druhá pro výzkum kulturní vitality.
