Analysis of data analytics challenges and table tennis data using Alteryx platform

Abstract:

Vzhledem k dnešní době, kdy se data hromadí a vyskytují téměř všude, je nutné umět s nimi správně nakládat – ať se jedná o získávání, upravování, ukládání či vizualizaci dat. Důležitým prvkem práce s daty je jejich analýza a následné získávání informací a znalostí a navazující konání na základě zjištění. Tato práce se věnuje právě datové analytice za použití nástroje Alteryx nad daty stolního tenisu.Primárním cílem této práce je analýza současných výzev datové analytiky a jejich řešení pomocí analytické platformy Alteryx. Cíl bude dosažen skrze rešerši relevantní literatury a zkušeností autora. Čtenář se detailně seznámí s Alteryxem, jeho součástmi, funkcionalitami a praktickým použitím při získávání a transformaci dat.Sekundárním cílem je deskriptivní analýza dat České asociace stolního tenisu při demonstrování funkcionalit Alteryxu. Cíl bude dosažen získáním a zpracováním dat z veřejného portálu STIS České asociace stolního tenisu a následnou vizuální analýzou.Výsledkem a přínosy práce je seznámení čtenáře s • výzvami, jimž je třeba čelit v procesu datové analýzy, • analytickou platformou Alteryx,• aktuální a historickou situací stolního tenisu v ČR a ve světě.

Abstract:

Considering today, when data is accumulating and occurring almost everywhere, it is necessary to be able to handle this data correctly - whether it is acquiring, editing, storing or visualizing. An important element of working with data is their analysis and subsequent acquisition of information and knowledge and subsequent action based on findings. This work is devoted to data analytics using Alteryx tool over table tennis data.The primary goal of this work is to analyze the current challenges of data analytics and their solution using the Alteryx analytical platform. The aim will be achieved by searching relevant literature and the author's experience. The reader will get acquainted in detail with Alteryx, its components, functionalities and practical use in data acquisition and transformation.The secondary objective is a descriptive data analysis of the Czech Table Tennis Association when demonstrating Alteryx functionalities. The goal will be achieved by obtaining and processing data from the public portal STIS of the Czech Table Tennis Association and subsequent visual analysis.The result and benefits of this work is to familiarize the reader with• the challenges to be faced in the data analysis process,• Alteryx analytical platform,• current and historical situation of table tennis in the Czech Republic and in the world.
