Nurses' Awareness in Care of Vascular Access in Hemodialysis Patients

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá informovaností sester na Interní klinice Krajské nemocnice Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně o ošetřování cévních přístupů u hemodialyzovaných pacientů. Je zde zmíněn především A-V shunt a centrální žilní katétry jako jsou hemodialyzační katétr a tunelizovaný hemodialyzační katétr. Tato práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část zahrnuje anatomii a fyziologii, chronickou renální insuficienci, cévní přístupy, druhy jejich krytí a hemodialýzu a v praktické části je uvedena analýza získaných dat. Cílem práce bylo vyhodnotit, zda jsou interní sestry dostatečně informovány v této oblasti a dokáží poskytnout kvalitní péči.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor thesis is Nurses' Awareness in Care of Vascular Access in Haemodialysis Patients at Internal Clinic of Thomas Bata Regional hospital in Zlin. Above all, there is a mention of A-V shunt and central venous catheters such as a haemodialysis catheter and tunneling haemodialysis catheter. This thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part includes anatomy and physiology, chronic renal insufficiency, vascular access, types of their dressing and hemodialysis and in the practical part, the analysis of acquired data is introduced. The aim of this thesis was to evaluate whether the nurses are sufficiently informed and can provide quality care in this area.
