Denmark: economy and position in the international tourism market

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá Dánskem, jeho ekonomií a postavením na mezinárodním trhu cestovního ruchu. Pokouší se přiblížit dánské postavení mezi ostatními severskými zeměmi v rámci mezinárodního trhu cestovního ruchu a srovnat mezi nimi ekonomické dopady. Zároveň se snaží přiblížit vývoj země a ekonomiky do současné podoby. V teoretické části je přiblížena problematika mezinárodního cestovního ruchu. Jeho aspekty působení a vnímání a částečně i stručný vývoj. Dále je rozebíráno jeho regionální a subregionální dělení, které pomáhá lépe a přehledně chápat světové rozložení turismu. V neposlední řadě se pak věnuje Dánsku samotnému. Od základních informací k historii a vývoji ekonomiky, kdy přechází v část praktickou.V té je na začátku přiblížen vliv cestovního ruchu na dánské hospodářství. Dále jsou rozebrány atraktivity, které jsou v Dánsku jedny z nejnavštěvovanějších. Řeší se zejména návštěvnost a tržby, pokud byla data dostupná. Důležitá součást praktické části je komparace s ostatními státy Severu z hlediska mezinárodního cestovního ruchu, jeho dopadu na ekonomické aspekty a atraktivit dostupných v dané zemi.

Abstract:

This master’s thesis focuses on Denmark, its economy and its position on the international tourism market. It tries to examine the status of Denmark between other northern countries regarding the international tourism market and to compare an impact of tourism on its economy. It also examines the development of given country and its economy till present day.In theoretical part of the thesis, ther is an explenation of tourism in general, aspects of its actions and perception and also a brief history. Afterwards it focuses on regional ans subregional division, which might help to better understand the worldwide layout of tourism. Last but not least this thesis presents Denmark as a country, from basic facts to its history and development of economy. That is where it changes to practical part.There can be found an influence od tourism on danish economy. Then there are analysed different attractions in Denmark, which are the most visited and popular. It examines mostly number of visitors and revenues, if the data were accessible. Very important part is about comparing with other northern countries regarding the international tourism, its impact on economical aspects and attractions available in given countries.
