Abstract:

Práce se zaměřuje na tvorbu žen, scénografek v průběhu dvacátého století na území Československa, respektive České republiky. Profese prošla zásadní genderovou proměnou, první neanonymní výtvarnice se začaly objevovat ojediněle od dvacátých let dvacátého století, tedy v době, kdy byl obor plně v mužských rukou. V průběhu druhé poloviny dvacátého století jejich počet v oboru vzrostl, většinou se však jednalo jen o realizace kostýmů. K jejich etablování začalo docházet od doby normalizace, kdy se začaly pravidelněji věnovat celé výpravě a tím konkurovat svým mužským kolegům. Tento trend zesílil natolik, že od devadesátých let dvacátého století lze hovořit o feminizaci oboru. Práce se vedle neadekvátní odborné reflexe dotýká také příčin, které k této sociální proměně vedly a důsledků, které z ní vyplývají.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the work of female stage designers throughout the 20th century in Czechoslovakia and/or rather the Czech Republic. The profession underwent a significant gender transformation - the first non-anonymous woman stage artists started to appear sporadically from the 1920s, at the time when the scenographic branch was fully in "men´s hands". During the second half of the 20th century women also began to be active in scenography, usually, however, they made only costumes. They commenced to devote to stage set design in the period of normalization and thus created a competition for their male colleagues. The trend strengthened in the 1990s and later so much that we can speak about feminization of the occupation, nevertheless, the those-days expert´s reflection did not correspond to that. The work also concerns all the prerequisites and consequences connected with this social transformation.
