Application of the PRVA method in children with highly functional autism at the case level

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na aplikaci metody PRVA u dětí s vysoce funkčním autismem, konkrétně pak na aplikaci metody PRVA u dětí s diagnózou Aspergerova syndromu. Výzkumný problém této práce je procesuální průběh aplikace metody PRVA u dětí s touto diagnózou a mentálním věkem v úrovni minimálně 9 let dítěte ze zdravé populace. Výzkumný projekt byl realizován jako kvalitativní evaluace procesu aplikace metody PRVA na uvedeném souboru dětí. Výzkumným přínosem této práce je zjištění charakteristik pro děti s Aspergerovým syndromem během celého procesu PRVA. Dalším přínosem této práce je zjištění, že metoda PRVA by mohla být využívána jako nový diagnostický přístup pro diagnostikování Aspergerova syndromu s uvedením prvního možného diagnostikovaného případu, kde vzniká pochybnost ve stávající diagnóze.

Abstract:

This Bachelor Thesis focuses on the application of the PRVA method in children with highly functional autism, namely the application of the PRVA method in children with the diagnosis of the Asperger syndrome. The research topic of this work is the process of application of the PRVA method in children with this diagnosis and mental age at the level of at least 9 years of a healthy child. The research project was implemented as a qualitative evaluation of the process of application of the PRVA method in the aforementioned set of children. The research benefit of this work is the identification of characteristics for children with Asperger syndrome during the entire PRVA process. Another benefit of this work is the discovery that the PRVA method could be used as a new diagnostic approach for the diagnosis of Asperger syndrome with the indication of the first possible diagnosed case where doubts arise in the current diagnosis.
