The importance of education for improving the situation of graduates in their employment on the labor market of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku role vzdělání pro profesní uplatnění absolventů vysokých škol a jejím základním cílem je zhodnotit kvalitu vzdělávací soustavy ČR v souvislosti s uplatněním absolventů VŠ na trhu práce. V první kapitole práce jsou vymezeny základní pojmy, které jsou s tématem této práce spojeny. Vymezen je pojem vzdělávání a vzdělání a také je vymezena důležitost vzdělávání a školních institucí v moderní lidské společnosti. Nastíněna je dále také struktura tuzemské vzdělávací soustavy se zaměřením zejména na vysokoškolské vzdělávání a jeho úlohu ve společnosti. Také je v této kapitole rozebrána otázky kvality ve vzdělávání. Druhá kapitola diplomové práce cílí na vymezení trhu práce, popsány jsou také základní subjekty utvářející trh práce a specifika jejich postavení na tomto trhu, zmíněna je také aktuální situace, která na tuzemském pracovním trhu panuje. Třetí kapitola diplomové práce je již zasvěcena přímo absolventům vstupujícím na trh práce, rozebrán je profil absolventa vysoké školy, struktura absolventů vysokých škol v naší zemi, poté je pozornost zaměřena na samotnou otázku uplatnění absolventů vysokých škol na trhu práce společně s benefity a úskalími jejich zaměstnávání optikou samotných zaměstnavatelů. Pro dokreslení této specifické situace je rozebrán také pohled samotných zaměstnavatelů na zaměstnávání absolventů vysokých škol a poté je rozebrána samotná problematika vzdělání a jeho role zhlediska zlepšení uplatnění absolventů vysokých škol na tuzemském trhu práce. Praktická část diplomové práce je následně založena na empirickém výzkumu, který byl proveden s absolventy vysokých škol a také se zaměstnavateli. Výstupem šetření je následně vyhodnocení názorů na kvalitu školství v České republice a možné návrhy na zlepšení. V závěru této diplomové práce poté autorka veškeré získané poznatky shrnuje do jednotného celku.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of the role of education for the professional employment of university graduates, and its basic goal is to evaluate the quality of the educational system of the Czech Republic in connection with the employment of university graduates on the labor market. In the first chapter of the work, the basic terms that are connected with the topic of this work are defined. The concept of education and education is defined and the importance of education and school institutions in modern human society is also defined. The structure of the domestic education system is also outlined, focusing mainly on higher education and its role in society. This chapter also discusses issues of quality in education. The second chapter of the diploma thesis aims to define the labor market, the basic entities shaping the labor market and the specifics of their position on this market are also described and the current situation prevailing on the domestic labor market are also mentioned. The third chapter of the diploma thesis is already dedicated directly to graduates entering the labor market, the profile of the university graduate, the structure of university graduates in our country is analyzed, then the attention is focused on the very question of the employment of university graduates on the labor market together with the benefits and pitfalls of their employment through the eyes of the employers themselves. In order to illustrate this specific situation, the view of the employers themselves on the employment of university graduates is also discussed, and then the issue of education itself and its role in terms of improving the employment of university graduates on the domestic labor market is discussed. The practical part of the diploma thesis is subsequently based on empirical research, which was conducted with university graduates and also with employers. The outcome of the investigation is subsequently an evaluation of opinions on the quality of education in the Czech Republic and possible suggestions for improvement. At the end of this thesis, the author summarizes all the knowledge gained into a unified whole.
