The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of complications of type 1 diabetes mellitus. The work is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part de-scribes the history and definition of diabetes, its classification, clinical manifesta-tions, diagnosis, treatment and therapy, complications, self-monitoring and influence on various areas of everyday life.
