Chinese etiquette and its influence on the hotel industry and tourism.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá čínskou etiketou a jejím vlivem na hotelnictví a cestovní ruch. Cílem práce je blíže se seznámit s čínskou etiketou a jejím vlivem na hotelnictví a cestovní ruch, analyzovat chování čínských hostů z pohledu pracovníků hotelu Mandarin Oriental Prague a v závěru práce zhodnotit výsledky a navrhnout produkt pro čínského hosta a navrhnout doporučení pro jednání s čínskou klientelou. Stěžejním zdrojem jsou řízené rozhovory provedené v hotelu Mandarin Oriental Prague se třemi kompetentními zaměstnanci a dále s paní magistrou Monikou Klímovou porovnané s materiálem poskytnutým tímto hotelem a teoretickými znalostmi získanými z literatury. Výsledkem této práce je určení nejzávažnějších a nejčastějších problémů při jednání s čínskými hosty během běžného pobytu v hotelu. Číňané nejsou příliš ochotni se evropským zvykům přizpůsobovat, i když záleží na jejich věku a zcestovalosti, proto je nutné se jim spíše přizpůsobit a poznat kulturu a etiketu pro jejich spokojenost a usnadnění práce s nimi pro hoteliéra. Toto je velmi důležité i proto, že se dá předpokládat, že počet příjezdů z Číny do České republiky se bude stále zvyšovat, mimo jiné i díky přímým leteckým spojům, vývozu moravského vína do Číny a vstupu aplikace Alipay na evropský trh.

Abstract:

This Bachelor's Dissertation deals with a Chinese etiquette and its impact on the hotel industry and tourism. The goal is to learn about the Chinese etiquette and its impact on the hotel industry and tourism, to analyze the behavior of the Chinese guests from the perspective of the employees at the Mandarin Oriental Prague and in conclusion, to evaluate the results recommend a product to the Chinese guest to propose recommendations for communication with Chinese clients. The main source are interviews make at Mandarin Oriental Prague with three competent employees and with Magister Ms Monika Klímová, compared with materials provided by the hotel and theoretical knowledge obtained from the literature. The result of this work is to determine the most serious of the most common problems during negotiations with the Chinese guests during the normal hotel stay. The Chinese are unwilling to adapt to European customs, although it depends on their age and with experience with travelling, so it is necessary to adapt them and to get to know the culture and the etiquette for their satisfaction and facilitate working with them for the hotelier. This is also very important because it can be supposed to that the number of arrivals from China to the Czech Republic will continue to increase, also due to direct air connections, Moravian wine exports to China and Alipay entry application to the European market.
