Structural Budget Deficit of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce popisuje a odhaduje strukturální deficit rozpočtu České republiky. Cílem práce je zejména právě odhad strukturálního deficitu rozpočtu České republiky v letech 2004-2022. K naplnění cíle jsou využity tři různé metody výpočtu, a to metoda Organizace pro hospodářskou spolupráci a rozvoj (OECD), metoda Evropské centrální banky (ECB) a metoda Evropské komise. Jednotlivé metody jsou představeny, vyčísleny a výsledky navzájem porovnávány. V závěru práce jsou formulovány možnosti řešení strukturálního deficitu, popsán, vyčíslen a zhodnocen konsolidační neboli ozdravný balíček.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis describes and estimates the structural budget deficit of the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to estimate the structural budget deficit of the Czech Republic in the years 2004-2022. To fulfill the objectives, three different calculation methods are used, namely the method of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the method of the European Central Bank (ECB) and the method of the European Commission. Individual methods are presented and calculated and the results compared with each other. At the end of the thesis, the options for solving the structural deficit are formulated, the consolidation or recovery package is described, quantified and evaluated.
