Rationalization of the Purchasing Process in an Engineering Company

Abstract:

Diplomová práce řeší postupy a strukturu nákupního procesu na nákupním oddělení uvnitř vybraného podniku zabývajícím se strojírenstvím. Cílem této diplomové práce je racionalizace nákupního procesu pro konkrétní strojírenský podnik. Jedním z dílčích cílů je identifikovat a zhodnotit potenciální rizika, která jsou s tímto procesem spojena. Práce je rozdělená na dvě části, na část teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části se práce věnuje charakteristice funkce nákupu a jeho dělení, popisu fungování řízení dodavatelského řetězce a současných trendech ve strojírenství. Dále teoretická řeší pojem riziko a analýzu rizik. Praktická část obsahuje užití metody analýzy rizik na konkrétní možná rizika nákupního procesu. Za pomoci uplatňované metody diplomová práce uvádí nápravná opatření, racionalizaci postupů nakupování přímého a režijního materiálu ve strojírenském podniku, koncept řešení nákupní agendy v informačním systému pro oblast nákupu a dopad jeho implementace.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the procedures and structure of the purchasing process in the purchasing department within a selected engineering company. The aim of this thesis is to rationalise the purchasing process for a specific engineering company. One of the sub-objectives is to identify and evaluate the potential risks associated with this process. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, the thesis deals with the characteristics of the purchasing function and its division, a description of the functioning of supply chain management and current trends in engineering. Furthermore, the theoretical one addresses the concept of risk and risk analysis. The practical part includes the application of the risk analysis method to specific possible risks of the purchasing process. With the help of the applied method, the thesis presents corrective measures, rationalization of purchasing procedures for direct and overhead materials in an engineering company, the concept of purchasing solutions in a purchasing information system and the impact of its implementation.
