Diagnostics and project of exercise intervention of sole of the foot preschool age children

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá diagnostikou a návrhem pohybové intervence plosky nohy u dětí v předškolním věku. Hlavním cílem práce bylo vytvořit zásobník pohybové intervence na podporu nožní klenby. Teoretická část práce rozebírá východiska dané problematiky, tedy motorický, tělesný a psychosociální rozvoj dítěte předškolního věku. Dále se zabývá anatomií a fyziologií plosky nohy, vývojem nožní klenby a nejčastějšími vadami jejího postavení. Největší část zájmu se opírá o problematiku ploché nohy, její diagnostiku a korekci prostřednictvím kompenzačních cvičení. Praktická část vychází z diagnostiky plosky nohy dětí v konkrétních mateřských školách. Testovaný soubor obsahoval 70 probandů, 39 chlapců a 31 dívek. Vytvořené plantogramy byly vyhodnocovány prostřednictvím metody indexu dle Srdečného, která se jeví pro potřeby školní a domácí praxe jako nejjednodušší, přesto funkční. Na základě zjištěných výsledků můžeme konstatovat, že 66 % testovaných dětí (tj. 46 probandů) má snížené postavení nožní klenby. Testování plosky nohy bylo doplněno o hodnocení tělesné výšky a hmotnosti probandů a vyhodnoceno dle růstových a hmotnostních grafů. Tyto výsledky byly použity pro potřeby samotných mateřských škol. Sestavený intervenční program se skládá z 19 cviků, 11 s pomůckami a 8 bez pomůcek, pro své uživatele může být pestrou a nepostradatelnou pomůckou při korekci a prevenci plochosti chodidel.

Abstract:

The present thesis deals with diagnosis of the soles of the feet in preschool children and presents suggestions as to physical exercise intervention. Creation of a set of physical exercise intervention to support the child's foot arch was the main objective of the thesis. In its theoretical part the thesis analyses the basic elements of the issue in question i.e. motor, physical and psychosocial development of a child in preschool age. Further it discusses the anatomy and physiology of the sole of the foot, the development of the foot arch and its most common positional deformities. The main focus is laid on the flat foot condition, its diagnosis and the possibility of its correction using compensatory exercises. The starting point for the practical part was the sole diagnosis of pre-schoolers' feet in selected kindergartens. The testing group consisted of 70 children, 39 boys and 31 girls. The tests were conducted using a footprint (plantogram) method and thus obtained images were subjected to evaluation by means of the Srdečný index method; given the needs of the school and home use this method appears to be simple enough to be employed, yet functional at the same time. Based on the results, in 66 % of the tested children (i.e. 46 probands) a reduced foot arch height was found. The testing of the soles of the feet was complemented by a measurement of body height and weight of probands, which was subsequently evaluated according to growth and weight standards. These results were used for the selected kindergartens' own needs. The suggested physical exercise intervention programme consists of 19 exercises, 11 with and 8 without aids, and may serve as a varied and indispensable tool for the correction and prevention of the flat feet of their users.
