Tato práce se v úvodu zabývá definováním pojmu regionální rozvoj a regionální rozdíly, přičemž budou v práci uvedeny příčiny a důsledky těchto regionálních rozdílů. Dále je v práci popsána teorie rozvojové spolupráce, jakým způsobem historicky vznikala a jak se vyvíjí v současném světě.
