Práce upozorňuje na nízké zastoupení žen ve vrcholné politice na celém světě a klade si otázku, zda má zastoupení žen v politice vliv na kvalitu demokracie, popřípadě co jiného ženy do politiky oproti mužům přinášejí a zda by tím pádem nebylo vhodnější, aby bylo zastoupení žen a mužů ve vrcholné politice vyrovnanější.
