Abstract:

Hlavním cílem mé práce je přehledná analýza vývoje české zemské vyšší reálky a českého reálného gymnázia v Příboře od založení do roku 1938. Rozvoj školy je zasazen do společensko-historického kontextu života města i regionu. Vedle okolností zřízení, nesnadné existence v letech války i za první republiky sleduji také běžný život studentů a jejich učitelů. Nechybí zde kapitola o významných osobnostech gymnázia. V klíčové pasáži práce předkládám kritickou analýzu sociokulturního a teritoriálního původu studentů. Data srovnávám s vybranými českými středními školami na Moravě.

Abstract:

My thesis main aim is to analyze the development of the Czech higher municipal Realschule and the Czech Grammar school (gymnasium) in Příbor from its establishment until 1938. The development of the school is considered in the socio-historical context of the town and region life. I focus on the circumstances of the establishment, the difficult existence during the war and the First Czechoslovak Republic and I also describe the common lives of students and their teachers. A chapter about important personalities of the Grammar School is included as well. In the key passage of the thesis I present a critical analysis of students' socio-cultural and territorial origins. I compare the data with selected Czech secondary schools in Moravia.
