Possibilities of measurement of ocular accommodation

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá v teoretické části především popisem akomodace oka. Jsou zde popsány anatomické struktury podílející se na akomodaci, teorie akomodace, vyšetřovací metody aj. Dále jsou zde stručně popsány i refrakční vady. Výzkumná část práce je zaměřena na měření akomodační šíře dvěma subjektivními metodami (metoda Push-up, Push-down), které jsou následně mezi sebou porovnány. Snažíme se také zjistit, zda akomodační šíře závisí na refrakční vadě a na osobě pohybující testovacím znakem u vyšetřovacích metod.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of this master’s thesis mainly deals with the description of accommodation of the eye. Anatomical structures involved in accommodation, theories of accommodation, measurement of ocular accommodation and other are described here. Next there are also briefly described refractive errors. The research part of the thesis focuses on measurement of the amplitude of accommodation with two subjective methods (Push-up method, Push-down method), which will be then compared to each other. We also try to find out whether the accommodation has a relation to a refractive error and to a person moving with a fixation test in each method.
