Analysis of the Needs of People with Long-term Illness in the Context of Informal Care

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou potřeb osob s vybraným typem dlouhodobého onemocnění v kontextu neformální péče. Cílem této práce je analyzovat potřeby osob s vybraným typem dlouhodobého onemocnění z pohledu jejich očekávání od poskytované neformální péče. Objektem této diplomové práce jsou osoby s vybraným typem dlouhodobého onemocnění a to s demencí Alzheimerova typu, Parkinsonovou chorobou, roztroušenou sklerózou mozkomíšní, po cévní mozkové příhodě a s diabetem mellitem. Předmětem výzkumu jsou biologické, psychické, sociální a spirituální potřeby těchto osob. Pro účely této diplomové práce byla využita kvantitativní strategie výzkumu a výzkumnou technikou byl zvolen dotazník. Cílem výzkumu bylo analyzovat míru existence potřeb osob s dlouhodobým onemocněním v kontextu neformální péče a zjistit, které potřeby (biologické, psychické, sociální a spirituální) jsou pro ně důležité.

Abstract:

This master thesis deals with analysis of the needs of people with the selected type of long-term illness in the context of informal care. The aim of this work is to analyze the needs of people with the selected type of long-term illness from perspective of their expectations of informal care. The object of this master thesis are persons with a selected type of long-term illness, namely Alzheimer´s dementia, Parkinson disease, multiple sclerosis, after stroke and diabetes mellitus. The subject of the research is the biological, psychological, social and spiritual needs of these persons. The quantitative research strategy was used for the purposes of this master thesis and questionnaire research technique was chosen. The aim of the research was to analyze degree of exist the needs of people with long-term illness in the context of informal care and to find out what needs (biological, psychological, social and spiritual) are important for them.
