The issue of abortions in Poland

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice potratů v Polsku. Zaměřuje se především na protipotratovou legislativu a veřejný diskurz. Hlavním stanoveným cílem je analyzovat vývoj interrupčních zákonů v Polsku a jejich hlavních aktérů. Pozornost je věnována především poslední přijaté interrupční legislativě a reakcím, které ve společnosti vyvolala. Práce se snaží poukázat i na souvislost této problematiky s lidskými právy. Proto je doplněná o postoje vybraných organizací, které se o tuto problematiku dlouhodobě zajímají.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of abortions in Poland. Primarily it focuses on anti-abortion legislation and public discourse. The main aim of the work is to analyse development of abortions laws in Poland and also major actors of this issue. Attention is mainly paid to the most current abortion legislation and the reactions which caused in society. Next it shows the connection between abortions and human rights. Therefore is this work complemented with the positions of selected organizations which deal with this topic in long term.
