Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na ženské postavy ve vybraných dílech rakouského spisovatele Stefana Zweiga. Úvodní části nastiňují problematiku přístupu k literární postavě a jejím zapojení v příběhu a rovněž zde je přiblíženo i historické postavení ženy v době vzniku Zweigových děl. The master thesis deals with the female characters in selected literary works written by the Austrian writer Stefan Zweig. In the introductory parts, various approaches to the literary character and its role in the story are described as well as the role of a woman in the society at that time.
