Artistic decoration of Church of the Virgin Mary Assumption in Brno-Zábrdovice - interpretation and context
Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá výzdobou interiéru kostela Nanebevzetí Panny Marie v Zábrdovicích. Zaměřuje se především na malířské dílo Josefa Winterhaldera ml. (1743–1807), který pro tento chrám vytvořil nástěnné malby a dva oltářní obrazy. Pozornost je věnována skicám, ikonografické interpretaci, dataci a okolnostem vzniku fresky.
Abstract:
This Work is about the interior decoration of Assumption of the Virgin Mary Church in Zábrdovice. Study focuses on paintings by Josef Winterhalder Jr. (1743–1807) who created the ceiling paintings and two altarpieces. Attention is paid to the preparatory works, iconographic interpretation, dating and circumstances of fresco origins.
