Burnout syndrome for Czech police officers at district departments in service over 15 years

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zkoumá syndrom vyhoření u příslušníků policie České republiky na obvodních odděleních ve služebním poměru nad 15. let. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se dělí na pět kapitol. Praktická část bakalářské práce se zabývá výzkumem, který je vyhodnocen z anonymních dotazníků, policistů pracujících nad 15 let ve služebním poměru. V první kapitole teoretické části práce je definován pojem syndrom vyhoření, příznaky syndromu vyhoření, fáze syndromu vyhoření a jeho vývoj. Kapitola je zakončena prevencí syndromu vyhoření. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na pojem zátěž. Zátěž se dělí na pracovní, životní a psychickou. Definice specifik pracovní zátěže u policistů. Na konci druhé kapitoly jsou vysvětleny pojmy jako zvládání zátěže. Třetí kapitola je zaměřena především na pojem stres a problémy s ním spojené. Druhy stresu, obecné typy stresových situací a příznaky stresu. Pracovní stres zakončuje kapitolu třetí. Čtvrtá kapitola se zabývá pojmy zdraví a odolnost. Pátá kapitola je zaměřena na Policii ČR, etický kodex Policie ČR, policejní práci a také na profesi policisty. V praktické části je vyhodnocen výzkum, který byl proveden na obvodním oddělení PČR Těrlicko, obvodním oddělení PČR Horní Suchá, obvodním oddělení PČR Hnojník, obvodním oddělení PČR Petřvald, obvodním oddělení PČR Dětmarovice, obvodním oddělení PČR Bohumín a obvodním oddělení PČR Český Těšín.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis examines the burnout syndrome in the Czech Republic's police officers at the district departments in the service relationship over 15 years. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is divided into five chapters. The practical part of the bachelor thesis deals with research, which is evaluated from anonymous questionnaires, police officers working over 15 years in service. In the first chapter of the theoretical part of the thesis is defined the term burnout syndrome, symptoms of burnout syndrome, phases of burnout syndrome and its development. The chapter ends with the prevention of burnout syndrome. The second chapter focuses on the notion of stress. Burden is divided into work, life, and psychic. Definition of workload specifics for police officers. At the end of the second chapter, concepts such as burden coping are explained. The third chapter focuses on the concept of stress and the problems associated with it. Types of stress, general types of stress situations, and stress symptoms. Work stress end with Chapter Three. The fourth chapter deals with concepts of health and resilience. The fifth chapter focuses on the Czech Police, the Code of Ethics of the Police of the Czech Republic, police work and the profession of policeman. In the practical part is evaluated the research, which was carried out at the district department of Těrlicko, the district department of Horní Suchá, the district department of the Police Hnojník, the Petřvald district police department, the district department of the Dětmarovice Police Department, the Bohumín District Police Department and the regional department of the Český Těšín Police
