The effect of the school's direction on pupils' attitudes towards people with disabilities.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem směřování školy na postoje žáků vůči osobám s postižením a je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. V první kapitole teoretické části se zabýváme konceptem postojů, konkrétně vymezením pojmu postoj a funkcemi a strukturou postoje. Dále se zaměřujeme na vymezení pojmu předsudek, stereotyp a diskriminace. V rámci první kapitoly se dále zabýváme vývojem přístupů k lidem s postižením v kontextu historie. Druhá kapitola se věnuje jedincům se zdravotním postižením, konkrétně jedincům s tělesným, mentálním a sluchovým postižením a jedincům s pervazivními vývojovými poruchami. Třetí kapitola se zaměřuje na program Škola podporující zdraví, který je klíčový pro náš výzkum. V empirické části využíváme validizovaný výzkumný nástroj pro měření postojů. Shromážděná data byla zpracována prostřednictvím nástrojů statistické analýzy a dále popsaná deskriptivními a následně induktivními metodami. V diskuzi se věnujeme interpretaci dosažených výsledků. Konec práce tvoří závěr a seznam použité literatury.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the effect of school's direction on pupils' attitudes towards people with disabilities and is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the first chapter of the theoretical part, we deal with the concept of attitudes, specifically with the definition of the concept of attitude and the functions and structure of attitude. We also focus on the definition of the concepts of prejudice, stereotype and discrimination. Within the first chapter, we further examine the development of attitudes towards people with disabilities in the context of history. The second chapter focuses on individuals with disabilities, specifically individuals with physical, mental and auditory disabilities and individuals with pervasive developmental disorders. The third chapter focuses on the School for Health program, which is crucial to our research. In the empirical part, we use a validated research tool for measuring attitudes. The collected data were processed through statistical analysis tools and further described by descriptive and then inductive methods. In the discussion, we are dedicated to interpreting the results achieved. The end of the thesis consists of a conclusion and a bibliography.
