Electricity in living organisms

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na elektřinu a její působení na živé organismy. Vyskytují se zde čtyři základní úhly pohledu. První popisuje princip fungování elektřiny, která se nachází přímo v tělech organismů a je nezbytná pro správnou funkci jejich orgánů. Druhý popisuje živočichy vytvářející větší množství elektřiny, kterou využívají např. k lovu. Dále se tato práce zabývá působením elektřiny na organismus přivedené do živých těl z vnějšího prostředí, a v závěru práce jsou uvedeny nové trendy výzkumu využívání těl živých organismů jako zdrojů energie a elektřiny.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the electricity and its effect on living organisms. There are four basic points of view. The first describes a kind of electricity which is inside of the organisms themselves and it is necessary for the correct function of their organs. The second describes animals which are able to create large amount of electricity and they use it for example for the hunting. Furthermore, this work deals with the effects of electricity from the external environment on the living organism. Finally, this work also deals with the emerging use of the bodies of living organisms as a source of energy and electricity.
