Dyslipidemia and atherosclerosis, comparison of LDL-cholesterol determination directly and indirectly by the method depending on HDL-cholesterol

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část je zaměřena na fyziologické i patofyziologické procesy spojené s tématikou krevních lipidů. V této části je popsána charakteristika, metabolismus a stanovení lipidů. Dále je zde také věnována pozornost klasifikaci, diagnostice a léčbě dyslipidémií, stejně jako popisu etiologie, patogeneze a významu aterosklerózy a jejích hlavních rizikových faktorů. V praktické části je popsána metodika, výsledky a vyhodnocení výzkumu. Tato část bakalářské práce je zaměřena na vyhodnocení rozdílu mezi přímým a nepřímý stanovením LDL-cholesterolu a možným vlivem HDL-cholesterolu na případný rozdíl.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on physiological and pathophysiological processes related to the topic of blood lipids. This section describes the characterization, metabolism and determination of lipids. Also, attention is paid to the classification, diagnosis and treatment of dyslipidemias, as well as to the description of the etiology, pathogenesis and significance of atherosclerosis and its main risk factors. The practical part describes the methodology, results and evaluation of the research. This part of the thesis is focused on evaluating the difference between direct and indirect determination of LDL-cholesterol and the possible influence of HDL-cholesterol on possible difference.
