Design a suitable methodology for bug management in software testing

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je návrh vhodné metodiky ke správě chyb v testování softwaru. Bakalářská práce se skládá ze dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část vysvětluje základní pojmy, jako je testování, chyba, životní cyklus chyb, klasifikace chyb a jejich priority, také popisuje způsoby testování softwaru.V praktické části byl realizován a vyhodnocen průzkum hlavních problémů při správě chyb v praxi (při provozu), vysvětlen cíl průzkumu a možnosti řešení problémů se správou chyb. Přínosem této bakalářské práce je pohled na hlavní problémy při správě chyb, jejich význam v celé oblasti testování. Hlavním výstupem práce je metodika pro správu chyb, která není vázána na konkrétní projekt a bude aplikovatelná pro jakékoliv projekty a vhodná pro každého čtenáře této bakalářské práce a ostatní, kteří mají zájem o testování.

Abstract:

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to design a suitable methodology for bug management in software testing. The bachelor thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. First part explains basic concepts of topic, such as testing, error, life cycle of errors, classification of errors and their priorities; it also describes methods of software testing.In practical part, the attention will be mainly drown to the realization and evaluation of a survey which identifies the main problems of defect management in practice.The objective of this bachelor thesis is to look for a main problem and evaluate their importance in the whole area of testing. The output of this thesis is a methodology for defect management, which will be applicable to any project and could be interested and suitable for every reader of this bachelor thesis and others who are interested in software testing.
