Abstract:

Spárování je proces vstřikování spárovací hmoty do mezery mezi dlaždicemi na podlaze. Robot v3 od Fabrica AI je schopen samostatně vyspárovat místnosti pomocí klasických algoritmů. Jejich přístup však pokulhává v místnostech s nepravoúhlými stěnami či s mezerami příliš blízko stěn. Práce se zaměřuje na implementaci a vyhodnocení posilového učení k úkolu vyspárování místnosti libovolného tvaru pomocí zjednodušeného robota v3 Fabrica AI. Za pouhých 15 minut trénování je model schopen vyspárovat 70 % místností nejrůznějších tvarů. Implementace je následně použita k optimalizaci velikosti robota a pozici extrudéru vůči ose kol. Závěrem prokážeme, že nejlepší nalezený design je statisticky významně lepší než návrh, který v současnosti používá Fabrica AI.

Abstract:

Grouting is the process of injecting grout into the gap between tiles on the ground. The Fabrica AI v3 robot is able to grout rooms autonomously using a classical algorithm. However, the solution struggles in non-rectangular rooms and with gaps close to walls. We implement and evaluate a reinforcement learning approach to the task of grouting a room with an arbitrary shape using a simplified Fabrica AI v3 robot. After only 15 minutes of training, the policy is able to grout 70 % of rooms with complex shapes. Using the reinforcement learning approach, we perform hardware design optimization on the size of the robot and the position of the grout extruder with respect to the wheels. We show that the best design found is significantly better than the design currently used by Fabrica AI.
