Significant personalities of the Lysice stem of the Dubsky family in 19th century

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o významných osobnostech první hraběcí linie rodu Dubských z Třebomyslic, kterou lze podle jejich sídla nazvat lysickou. Soustředila jsem na časové období 19. století, které lze považovat za vrcholné období společenského významu tohoto rodu. Již předtím sice mnozí členové z rodiny Dubských zastávali významné funkce, ale po pobělohorských konfiskacích došlo k jistému úpadku rodu. Na společenské výsluní se Dubští vrací právě až na počátku 19. století, především zásluhou zakladatele lysické větve Františka Dubského.

Abstract:

My work deals with the important personalities of the count’s family Dubský from Třebomyslice. This part of the ancestry family line could be also called lysickou because of their origin. I have concentrated my attention to the 19th century time period, which could be considered as the peak period of the social importance of this family.Although we can say, that many members of the count’s Dubský family were being in important duties even before the time mentioned above, there was a decline after the White Mountain’s confiscation. They didn’t get back to the swing of prosperity until the beginning of the 19th century, mainly by the effort of František Dubský, who was the founder of lysice’s branch of the family and deserves most of the credit for it.
