Audiovisual Recordings and Broadcasts of Theater Productions

Abstract:

Práce vychází z primárního výzkumu realizovaného formou osobních rozhovorů v období prosinec 2017 - květen 2018 na téma výroby, distribuce a archivace audiovizuálních záznamů a přenosů divadelních představení v České republice. Nabízí dva pohledy na výrobu záznamu - Česká televize (Ondřej Šrámek) a GoodMedia Praha (Roman Prorok). Popisuje výrobní proces, náklady na výrobu a specifika přímých přenosů. Dále se věnuje distribuci divadelních záznamů v České republice v televizi (Česká televize - Ondřej Šrámek), v kině (Aerofilms - Ivo Andrle, Přenosy do kin - Martin Cikánek), na DVD/VHS (Thespis - Jana Smetánková), na internetu (Sleduj divadlo - Martin Zavadil, Česká televize, YouTube) a v archivu (Institut umění - Divadelní ústav - Andrea Landovská). Uvádí data například o sledovanosti, počtu návštěvníků, počtu vydaných nosičů, počtu položek v archivu. Práce je doplněna o kvantitativní průzkum o vztahu 26 předních divadelních institucí z České republiky k audiovizuálním záznamům představení. Nabízí také názory výše uvedených osobností na následující témata: převod divadelního umění do audiovize, virtuální realita a záznamy z 360° kamer, rozdílnost zážitku z živého divadla vs. přímého přenosu vs. záznamu, nelegální šíření záznamů a vliv záznamů na návštěvnost divadel. V závěru práce je několik návrhů a doporučení pro další rozvoj zkoumaných výrobních a distribučních směrů. Autor práce má osobní zkušenosti s výrobou audiovizuálních divadelních záznamů a v současnosti se věnuje marketingu.

Abstract:

This thesis is based on primary research conducted in the form of personal interviews in the period December 2017 - May 2018 about the production, distribution and archiving of audiovisual recordings and transmission of theater performances in the Czech Republic. It offers two views on the production of the recording - Czech Television (Ondřej Šrámek) and GoodMedia Praha (Roman Prorok). It describes the production process, production costs and the specifics of live transmissions. It also deals with the distribution of theater recordings in the Czech Republic on television (Czech Television - Ondřej Šrámek), in cinema (Aerofilms - Ivo Andrle, LiveInCinema.eu - Martin Cikánek), on DVD / VHS (Thespis - Jana Smetánková), on the Internet (Watch Theater - Martin Zavadil, Czech Television, YouTube) and in the archive (Arts and Theater Institute - Andrea Landovská). It includes data such as viewership, number of visitors, number of released DVDs, number of items in the archive. The work is supplemented by a quantitative survey on the relationship of 26 leading theater institutions from the Czech Republic to audiovisual recordings of the performance. It also offers the views of the above-mentioned personalities on the following topics: the transformation of the performing arts into audiovisual arts, virtual reality and 360 ° camera recordings, the diversity of the experience of live theater vs. live broadcasting vs. recording, illegal distribution of records and the impact of records on theater attendance. There are several suggestions and recommendations for further development of researched production and distribution directions. The author of the thesis has personal experience with the production of audiovisual theatrical recordings and is currently engaged in marketing.
