Abstract:

This thesis is focused on problems in social status of women in the Russian Empire at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The main goal of the thesis is to introduce this topic to Czech readers and to give them the information about this period of time from the view of the ideas of different personalities, including ideas of the author of this thesis. So, the next aim is to create a coherent text about the turn of this centuries – the time of women’s fighting for their rights, social status and the time of increase in women’s emancipation. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part is concerned with an explanation of general literary terms. The second chapter briefly characterizes the period of the time at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries from the point of view of the development in literary works and their influence on women’s emancipation. The third part, the last and the practical one, characterizes and compares the main heroines from chosen works by I. A. Goncharov, I. S. Turgenev and A. F. Pisemsky.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku postavení žen ve společnosti Ruského impéria na přelomu 19. a 20. století. Hlavním cílem této práce je představit dané téma českému čtenáři a přiblížit mu zmiňované období z pohledu různých osobností, jejich názorů, včetně názorů samotné autorky práce a sestavit tak ucelený text o přelomu těchto století – o období bojů žen za jejich práva, postavení, o období vzrůstu emancipace žen a uvědomování si jejich existence. Práce je rozdělena do tří hlavních částí. První část diplomové práce se zabývá vysvětlením obecných literárních pojmů. Druhá kapitola zpočátku stručně charakterizuje období v Ruském impériu na přelomu 19. a 20. století z pohledu vývoje literárních děl či periodik a jejich vlivu na rozvoj emancipace žen. Poslední třetí část, jež je považována za praktickou, obsahuje charakteristiku a porovnání stěžejních představitelek z vybraných děl I. A. Gončarova, I. S. Turgeněva a A. F. Pisemského.
