Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá osobností a tvorbou amerického skladatele 20. století Aarona Coplanda. V první části přináší jeho životopis a přehled nejvýznamnějších děl. Druhá část práce je věnována Coplandovu Duu pro flétnu a klavír z roku 1971. Kromě historického kontextu vzniku díla a charakteristiky skladby zahrnuje též interpretační analýzu a rozbor nahrávek Dua.
Abstract:
This master´s thesis deals with the personality and works of the 20th century American composer Aaron Copland. In its first part it brings his biography together with a summary of his most important pieces. The second part of the thesis focuses on Copland?s Duo for Flute and Piano written in 1971.
