Hlavním cílem práce je seznámit čtenáře s problematikou tetování v pozdní antice a raném středověku. V první části jsou analyzovány starší termíny označující tetování a biblické texty zaměřené na označování těla. Abstract:
The main purpose of the thesis is to acquaint the reader with the problematics of tattooing in late antiquity and the early Middle Ages. The first part analyzes older terms denoting tattoos and biblical texts focused on body marking.
