The Stories of Writing: Therapeutic Writing as a Subjectice Experience

Abstract:

Dissertation theses deals with creative writing in psychology and psychotherapy. The theoretical part discusses the definitions of creative writing, its applications in counseling and psychotherapy and the relationship to the selected psychological constructs (thinking, imagination, communication, social processes, relaxation, and sense of life).Further it describes different approaches to the psychology of personality and identity of the author.Finally, it deals with the cognitive and psychoanalytic models of the writing process. In the dissertation research two main research questions were set: What variants of stories tell the authors with mental illness (and how they (re)construct their identity and create a sense of experience)? What experience do they have with the process of creative and therapeutic writing? To answer these questions, qualitative methodology was used (narrative analysis, interpretative phenomenological analysis and research poems).

Abstract:

Dizertačná práca sa zaoberá tvorivým písaním v psychológii a psychoterapii. V teoretickej časti sa venuje vymedzeniu tvorivého písania, jeho aplikačným možnosťami v poradenstve a psychoterapii a vzťahu k vybraným psychologickým konštruktom (myslenie, predstavivosť, komunikácia, sociálne procesy, relaxácia, zmysel života). Ďalej popisuje rozne prístupy k skúmaniu psychológie osobnosti a identity autora. Nakoniec predstavuje kognitívne a psychoanalytické modely procesu písania. V dizertačnom výskume boli stanovené dve hlavné výskumné otázky: Aké varianty príbehov o svojom písaní rozprávajú autorky (a ako v nich (re)konštruujú svoju identitu a vytvárajú zmysel skúseností)? a Aké skúsenosti majú s procesom tvorivého a terapeutického písania? Na zodpovedanie týchto otázok bola použitá kvalitatívnu metodológia (naratívna analýzu, interpretatívna fenomenologická analýza a výskumné básne).
