Management of debts

Abstract:

Tématem práce je obecný náhled na problematiku vymáhání pohledávek a analýza příčin neplacení dluhů. Popisuje do značné míry nevyvážený vztah věřitele a dlužníka, ale především se zabývá přístupem spotřebitelů k nejrůznějším půjčkám, hypotékám, leasingům apod. Vysoké zadlužování je mimo jiné důsledkem nedostatečné finanční gramotnosti veřejnosti, spotřebou výrobků a služeb všeho druhu, honbou za společenskou prestiží a agresivitou reklamy. Dalším aspektem komplikujícím vztahy věřitelů s dlužníky je práce médií, která mají tendenci stylizovat dlužníky a neplatiče do role obětí, jejichž neznalosti využívají banky a věřitelé všeho druhu, často zastupováni inkasními společnostmi či exekutory. Studie hledá odpověď na to, jak zlepšit postoj veřejnosti a dlužníků vůči neplacení závazků a má ambici alespoň nepatrně napravit ne zcela objektivní obraz oboru vymáhání dluhů, tedy věřitelů, inkasních společností a ostatních subjektů zabývajících se správou pohledávek.

Abstract:

The topic of the work is a general view of the debt collection problems and an analysis of failure in payment of the debts. It describes the largely unbalanced relation of a creditor and a debtor but it mainly deals with the attitude of the consumers to various loans, mortgages, lease purchases etc. The high indebtedness is, among others, insufficient financial literacy of the public, consumption of products and services of all kinds, pursuit of the social prestige and aggressiveness of advertising. Another aspect, which complicates the relations of creditors and debtors, is work of the media that tend to place the debtors and nonpayers into roles of the victims, whose unawareness is used by banks and creditors of various kinds that are often represented by debt collection companies or distrainers. The paper is seeking the answer how to improve the attitude of the public and the debtors towards non-payment of obligations and it has the ambition to set right the rather slanted picture in the field of debt collection, i.e. creditors, debt collection companies and other subjects engaged in debt administration.
