Tato práce analyzuje vliv zavedení přímé volby prezidenta České republiky na jeho ústavní postavení, pravomoci a ústavní systém celkově. V našich podmínkách měla historickou tradici volba parlamentní, z toho důvodu autor provádí rozbor postavení prezidenta v jednotlivých ústavách od roku 1918 a taktéž se zabývá ústavní pozicí prezidentů zahraničních zemí po zavedení přímé volby. This thesis analyzes the impact of the direct election of the president of the Czech Republic for his or her constitutional position, powers and constitutional system in general.
