Diversity of flora in the cultural landscape of the Pannonian region of southern Moravia

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce bylo popsat variabilitu druhové diverzity v kulturní krajině v širším okolí Mikulova. V zemědělské krajině v okolí Mikulova bylo zapsáno v deseti transektech 193 fytocenologických snímků o velikosti 4 × 4 m. Zastoupení druhů bylo hodnoceno pomocí devítistupňové Braun-Blanquetovy stupnice abundance a dominance. Snímky byly rozděleny do osmi skupin, a to do pěti biotopů (les, křoviny, suchý trávník, ruderální trávník a pole+vinice) a tří ekotonů (les/neles, neles/neles, neles/cesta). Byly srovnány celkové počty druhů, alfa diverzita a počty druhů ve skupinách podle původnosti v české flóře a ohrožení. Skupiny se statisticky významně lišily celkovým počtem druhů, alfa diverzitou, počtem původních druhů, archeofytů a ohrožených druhů. Počtem neofytů se skupiny signifikantně nelišily. Pro hodnocení beta diverzity byl použit Jaccardův index nepodobnosti. Mezi jednotlivými biotopy byly významné rozdíly. Vztah mezi počtem druhů a heterogenitou krajiny byl hodnocen pomocí dvou krajinných metrik: procenta orné půdy a diverzity biotopů na ploše. Mezi počtem druhů a podílem orné půdy je slabá negativní korelace, mezi počtem druhů a diverzitou biotopů nebyl prokázán žádný vztah. V biotopech les a pole+vinice byla prokázána homogenizace vlivem nepůvodních druhů, ve zbývajících biotopech působí nepůvodní druhy spíše diferenciaci.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to characterize variability of species richness of a cultural landscape in the surroundings of Mikulov, SE Czech Republic. In this agricultural landscape 10 transects 193 phytosociological relevés sized 4 x 4 m were recorded. Species abundance was measured using the nine-point Braun-Blanquet scale. Relevés were divided into eight groups, including five habitats (forest, scrub, dry grassland, ruderal grassland and arable field+ vineyard) and three ecotones between them (forest/unforest, unforest/unforest, unforest/road). The number of species, alpha diversity and the number of species according to their alien-native status in the Czech flora and red-list status in the Czech flora were compared amoug these groups. Significant differences were found within the groups in number of species, alpha diversity, native species, archaeophytes and red-list status. In neophytes no significant differences were found. Mean Jaccard’s coefficient was used to measure beta diversity. There were significant differences between habitats. Relationship between number of species and landscape diversity was evaluated using two landscape metrics: percentage of arable land and the habitat type diversity in the area. There was a weak negative correlation between the number of species and the proportion of arable land and no relationship between the number of species and habitat type diversity. In forests and field+vineyards alien species caused biotic homogenization while in the other habitats differentiation.
